Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a  support worker to join a friendly established team providing support and ongoing rehabilitation to a young disabled man in his own home and in the community.

The successful candidate will offer:

  • Experience in care/support work in the community
  • Experience working in a rehab environment and with therapy staff would be an advantage
  • Flexible approach to care and availability to work a variety of shifts on a rota basis including night shifts and weekends.
  • Great communication skills
  • Positive and friendly personality

Role Type: Support Worker Full-time and Part-time

Location: Southend on Sea

Rate of Pay (pending a pay review this year) :

  •  Weekday daytime hours & rate 9am – 9pm £15.60 per hour
  • Weekend daytime hours & rate 9am – 9pm - £16.64 per hour
  • Sleep in hours paid at National Minimum Wage at the prevailing rate – currently £12.21 per hour
  • Weekday and Weekend Night duty schedule – the night shift is from 8pm – 9am split into the following-  consists of 5hours waking( 8pm to 1am)  and 6 hours sleep in (1am to 7am)  and then 2 hours walking ( 7am to 9am).
  • Walking night hours are paid as per the day rate mentioned above( weekday and weekend)
