Andrea qualified as a physiotherapist from Leipzig University Hospital, Germany in 1996 and gained UK state registration from UCL, London, in 2002. She has extensive clinical experience in the care and treatment of adults with complex needs.
Andrea worked in Germany from 1996 to 2000 across acute, community, and rehabilitation settings. After gaining UK state registration, Andrea worked in the NHS, and in 2005 joined the team working in a rehabilitation unit for people with acquired neurological impairments.
From 2006 until 2013, Andrea was a Therapy Manager with responsibility for service provision, implementing rehabilitation programmes, and working with the clients and their families. Supervision and training of staff was an integral part of the role. The role also involved providing long-term support to clients with progressive neurological conditions. Andrea gained experience in developing training programmes for support workers or the families of individuals who care for clients with complex needs, and experience in the ongoing supervision required for support and care staff.
Andrea has considerable experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and the training of such teams where appropriate, with teams consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and outside agencies including workforce management, planning and development of staff, and operational management including financial aspects, leadership, and risk mitigation.
In 2013, Andrea joined CA Case Management Ltd as a Brain Injury Case Manager. Andrea works with adults with complex needs and has experience in developing training programmes for support workers or the families of individuals who care for clients with complex needs. Andrea is experienced in the ongoing supervision of support and care staff.
Andrea is also fluent in German.
Caroline qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1985, and since then has specialised in the field of neuroscience, working as a Senior Nurse/Sister in several world renowned centres of excellence in both neuro and general critical care units, in the UK and in Australia.
Since 2007, Caroline has worked as an adults’ brain and spinal cord injury case manager, providing bespoke case management services for adults with catastrophic injuries including traumatic and acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, complex orthopaedic injuries, or other complex disabilities.
Caroline has extensive experience working with adult clients ranging from those with high levels of complex physical disabilities, to those who may be more independently mobile, but who have complex cognitive and behavioural disabilities. She has acted as a case manager for many clients with spinal cord injury, including the setting up and management of two-to-one 24/7 community care packages, as well as ensuring their clinical and rehabilitation needs are met and supporting them to achieve aspirational goals.
Jo qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008 with a First Class BSc (Hons) from Colchester Institute, having previously obtained a degree in Health Studies from Chichester Institute of Higher Education.
Previously Jo has worked as a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist covering the inpatient and Stroke Early Supported Discharge Service for the Neurological Rehabilitation Team within the South Essex Partnership Trust (NHS). She led multidisciplinary and wider multi-professional teams including social workers and medical staff, as well as developing training programmes, and supporting and encouraging junior team members through regular supervisions and appraisals.
She joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2016 and continues to work with brain injured clients to access appropriate services and set up rehabilitation programmes. She manages support teams for adult clients, ensuring day-today needs are met. Jo has developed professional relationships with both litigating solicitors and Deputy’s from Court of Protection teams. Jo has also worked closely with support and therapy teams to meet her individual clients’ goals and clinical needs.
Jo also currently works within the NHS in a part time role as a community Occupational Therapist where she works with adults with a wide range of physical conditions. This role demands responsive and bespoke clinical skills and excellent communication with a diverse population, including patients, relatives, care agencies and healthcare professional colleagues.
Joely qualified as a RGN/RSCN from Sheffield School of Nursing in 1992 and has worked extensively in paediatrics, including paediatric intensive care.
Joely is a Brain Injury Case Manager (paediatric) for CA Case Management Ltd. This involves working with children with acquired brain injury or cerebral palsy and their families to access appropriate services and set up rehabilitation programmes as required, as well as managing care teams and ensuring that the day-to-day needs of the clients are met.
She provides complex care training and clinical support consultancy to CA Case Management Ltd. Courses are designed and tailored around individual requirements, involving practical skills as well as background theory including:
Karen joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2022 as a brain and spinal cord injury case manager, having worked in this field since 2012. She has experience working with clients in hospital, residential rehabilitation services and community settings, which has given her an excellent understanding of the challenges and complexities faced by clients and their families after sustaining a brain or spinal cord injury.
Karen is involved in all aspects of the case management role. She provides detailed costed case management reports in addition to Immediate Needs Assessments. She has extensive experience in the coordination of services and professionals as well as support worker recruitment and line management, including large 24-hour care teams.
Karen has experience from the point of hospital discharge, to inpatient rehabilitation as well as adaptation of property, and ongoing therapy. She has expertise in case management assessment and from this in supporting clients and their families to identify realistic goals and researching resources to achieve those goals. She has a sound clinical knowledge of the impact serious injuries and complex healthcare needs have on the individual and their ability to perform activities of daily living, leisure, and work activities.
Kerry is an experienced Brain Injury Case Manager at CA Case Management Ltd specialising in supporting adults with acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, spinal injuries, and learning difficulties.
Kerry is also an independent Occupational Therapist. She has extensive expertise in setting up and coordinating rehabilitation programmes, devising individualised care plans, completing risk assessments, relocating clients, recruiting and managing care and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients’ day-to-day needs are met.
Kerry works across diverse settings, including clients’ homes, residential facilities, and hospitals, and collaborates closely with families, multidisciplinary teams, local authorities, clinical commissioning groups, and legal representatives. Kerry is skilled in supporting clients through the litigation process, preparing reports and witness statements, and attending case conferences, expert witness appointments, and legal meetings. She is experienced in adapting her professional practice to meet the cultural and individual needs of clients.
Kerry joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2018, following a 20-year career within the NHS and social care, where she served as Clinical Lead Community Occupational Therapist at Essex Partnership University Trust. Her earlier career also includes roles as a carer and rehabilitation assistant, providing her with a strong foundation in hands-on client care. She qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Sheffield Hallam University in 2001, later gaining a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Anglia Ruskin University (2007) and certification as a Manual Handling Trainer (2012). Kerry maintains her professional development through regular training and conferences with the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers, ongoing supervision and peer supervision.
Lynne qualified as a Social Worker in 1998 and gained substantial experience as a practising Social Worker in the community working for Essex County Council and Windsor and Maidenhead Council.
She completed Care Act assessments and reviews, commissioning paid care and support planning using direct payments. This required substantial knowledge of statutory funding streams, assessment process and both personal budgets and direct payments from the Local Authority and NHS.
Lynne has worked with a complex caseload of adults with wide ranging conditions including neurological conditions, brain injury and learning disability. She worked as a Senior Social Worker and then Team Manager for a team of independent social workers undertaking complex annual care reviews.
Moving into Case Management in 2019, Lynne has continued to gain experience of managing complex clients and their care teams, setting up Independent Living Opportunities for a number of young clients wanting to live in their own home for the first time and co-ordinating all the necessary services and MDT professionals required for both rehabilitation and long support of complex disability. She has worked with settled and unsettled cases producing regular Case Management reports and costings as required.
Meral is a dedicated and passionate neurophysiotherapist with a strong focus on neurological rehabilitation and a proven track record of improving patient outcomes through evidence-based, person-centred care.
At CA Case Management Ltd, Meral has developed specialist expertise in managing complex brain injury cases, formulating tailored support plans, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise rehabilitation outcomes. Her role also involves educating and supporting clients and their families, advocating for their needs, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and effective care delivery.
Meral qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2008, laying the foundation for a career committed to the rehabilitation of individuals with neurological conditions. As a Lead Senior Physiotherapist at a Level 2 Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, she designed and delivered advanced therapeutic interventions that significantly improved patients’ function and quality of life. In 2024, Meral was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Neurology from University College London (UCL), further deepening her clinical knowledge and strengthening her ability to integrate cutting-edge research into practice. This academic achievement reflects her commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in
patient care.
Meral is also fluent in Turkish and Dutch.
Natasha joined CA Case Management Ltd (CACM) in 2021 as a Brain and Spinal Injury Case Manager. She qualified as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in 2015, graduating with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Essex. Her specialist clinical expertise lies in neurological conditions, including brain and spinal cord injury, as well as complex orthopaedic and major trauma cases.
Prior to becoming a case manager, Natasha held a senior OT position within the NHS.
Natasha specialises in the management of complex neurological disabilities and promoting health and well-being. She has experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing care planning, coordinating rehabilitation programmes, and conducting detailed risk assessments. Throughout her career, she has managed discharge planning for clients with complex needs and worked closely with health and social care professionals across statutory, private, and charitable sectors to optimise client well-being and engagement in their living environments.
Natasha’s current role involves coordinating bespoke training packages for support teams, managing complex client care, and advocating in the client’s best interests. She develops tailored care and rehabilitation programmes in collaboration with specialists, while overseeing risk management. Her work spans clients from those in a Prolonged Disorder of Consciousness (PDOC) to individuals who are physically able but significantly cognitively impaired. By closely monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary, she supports clients in maximising their independence, safety, and overall quality of life.
Nikki joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2022, where she case-manages adults who have sustained brain or spinal cord injuries. She has worked as a physiotherapist in various hospital and community settings, ranging from acute neurological intensive care units to long-term rehabilitation units.
With extensive experience supporting clients with complex physical and cognitive needs resulting from traumatic or acquired brain injuries and other neurological conditions, Nikki excels in setting personalised goals, monitoring progress, and adapting plans as needed.
Nikki has a strong background in collaborating with specialised multidisciplinary teams, using a person-centred approach to ensure clients achieve their goals.
BSc Physiotherapy (2000) – West of England, Bristol
Tony is an experienced and proficient case manager. He completed his Masters in Social Work in 2012 and has 20 years’ experience in social care, working in a variety of settings with complex clients.
He has experience in working within a litigation framework and is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for clients. Tony has worked extensively in acute hospital settings, working closely with adults and their families dealing with severe loss and trauma, in stroke, orthopaedic and cardiac wards.
Tony is accomplished in providing intense emotional and practical support, identifying the needs and accessing appropriate physical, cognitive and social rehabilitation networks to maximise the potential for recovery. Tony has a significant depth of experience and contemporary knowledge in using the Mental Capacity Act to determine an adult’s ability to make informed decisions.
Wendy qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) from Colchester Institute.
Wendy joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2017 as Brain Injury Case Manager and also works as a People Moving and Handling Trainer since 2018.
Carolyn qualified as a physiotherapist from Guy’s Hospital, London, in 1985, and gained an MSc with distinction from St George’s Medical School, London, in 1995.
Carolyn has extensive clinical experience in neurology and neurosurgery and has worked in specialist neurological rehabilitation units, both in the UK and in New Zealand.
Carolyn has also worked as a care advisor for several leading neurological charities and held a post as Senior Lecturer in the School of Health at the University of Teeside.
Carolyn has over 13 years’ experience as a Brain Injury Case Manager.
Clinical Director / Brain injury Case Manager, CA Case Management Ltd.
Carolyn has extensive experience in the clinical assessment and provision of case management services to clients with acquired brain injuries. Her experience includes working with families, resourcing services in private and statutory sectors, and advising on rehabilitation, accommodation and equipment provision. She is responsible for the recruitment and training of support teams, including provision of 24-hour care teams.
Carolyn was elected to the BABICM council and has completed reviews for members hoping to achieve Advanced Membership.
Carolyn also prepares expert care reports for the Court.
Philippa first qualified as an Occupational Therapist with BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Southampton University in 1997.
Philippa has had extensive experience in the UK and South Africa in working with adults and children with complex neurological disabilities.
Philippa has had considerable experience in working with, leading and training multi-disciplinary teams both as an Occupational Therapist and as a Case Manager. She has expertise in the assessment and provision of specialist equipment and housing adaptations.
Philippa also prepares expert care reports for the Court.
Philippa has a holistic approach to her work as a Case Manager and is able to offer support and guidance to enable clients to achieve their goals and optimise their potential.
Helen initially qualified as an Occupational Therapist with a BSc (Hons) from London South Bank University. She then went on to obtain a Post Graduate Certificate with Merit in Business Admin from the Open University.
Helen qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2007 and now specialises in the treatment of clients following neurological trauma.
She previously worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist within a neurological rehabilitation centre, where she set up the occupational therapy services and reformed the activities services. This included setting up the service protocol, selection of assessment tools, service appraisal and the formulation of a business development plan.
Helen joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2015, where she works with brain injured clients to access appropriate services and set up rehabilitation programmes, as well as managing large care teams for both adults and children, and ensuring that the day-to-day needs of the client are met.
